The economic sanctions against Russia are severe and, for some of them, unprecedented. They show the determination of the European Union not to let the aggression against Ukraine go unpunished and, from now on, to seriously consider the question of reparations.
Agrg of public law, Rgis Bismuth is a professor at Sciences Po law school. His research and teaching activities mainly focus on public international law, international economic law and international litigation. He is the author of several publications in these areas and in particular on the extraterritoriality of law, economic sanctions, state immunities, and corporate social responsibility. He is co-director of the journal The Law and Practice of International Courts and Tribunals.
