Ukraine, a democracy at war

Democracy in Ukraine is taking hold and growing stronger every day. The war, far from weakening it, strengthens the population's vigilant adherence to a regime whose independence it wants to ensure.


Alexandra Goujon, lecturer in political science at the University of Burgundy, is a specialist in Eastern European countries and in particular Ukraine and Belarus. She notably published Political and identity revolutions in Ukraine and Belarus (1988-2008) (Belin, 2009) and Ukraine from independence to war (The Blue Rider, 2021).
