Director of research at the insert, Archana Singh-Manoux is an epidemiologist at the Epidemiology and Statistics Research Center (CRESS)* located at the Hôtel-Dieu hospital in Paris. His investigation into the risk factors for cognitive decline associated with aging was recognized by the Coups d’élan prize for French research, awarded by the Bettencourt-Schueller foundation.
In this interview, she presents the methods and challenges of her discipline. It shows how the study of large cohorts allows us to better understand social inequalities in health, to highlight the realities of the world of work but also to document the precocity of cognitive decline. Its work nourishes a message of prevention aimed at public authorities and calls for action throughout the life cycle on which its research is carried out.
