In the darkness of lysis

The Secretary General of the Lysis is a man in the shadows, with immense powers. Vincent Martigny led the investigation into these gray miners whom he met and interviewed at length. Republican discretion, or occult power?

Vincent Martigny is professor of political science at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis and the Ecole Polytechnique, associate researcher at CEVIPOF (Political science, CNRS). He is also a member of the editorial committee of the newspaper Le 1. He notably published The return of the Prince (Flammarion 2019) and Saying France Culture(s) and national identities (1981-1995) (Presses de Sciences Po, 2018). In 2020, he directed (with Joseph Beauregard) the documentary The President's Man for which he interviewed seven former General Secretaries of Lycée, lifting the veil on a function as little known as it is central in French political life, marked by hyper-presidentialization.

In this interview for The Life of Ideashe presents some conclusions from his work on the reasons for invisibility of the Secretary General of llyse.
